Chiropractic care
Hands-on chiropractic care, tailored to you
The Palm Beach Chiro Way
Our Philosophy
Pain is usually a signal of something deeper, and we focus on finding and addressing the underlying cause where we can — not just treating the symptoms.
Paul and James have a simple approach: care should be hands-on, individualised, and explained in language that makes sense. Our methods are evidence-informed and adapted to each patient. Some patients enjoy firmer manual adjustments, while others want the gentlest possible care — and we work with whatever suits you best. There is no fixed template. Your care reflects your body, your goals, and your circumstances. Good chiropractic care should support you in staying active and doing what you enjoy, and we will give you an honest picture of how we may be able to help.
Move well. Enjoy life.
Structured, not fixed
How Care Works
Care at Palm Beach Chiropractic is structured around three phases. The aim is to settle your symptoms, address the underlying cause, and support long-term progress. Everyone's situation is different — how long each phase takes, and whether you move through all three, depends entirely on your individual circumstances and goals.
Phase 1: Relief Care
Your first visit includes a full consultation and assessment. We talk through your history, examine you, and identify the underlying cause where we can. You will receive a report of findings explaining what is going on and how we may be able to help. The focus in this phase is settling acute symptoms and getting on top of pain. Visits may be more frequent at this stage.
Phase 2: Corrective Care
Once symptoms have settled, the focus shifts to addressing the underlying cause and reinforcing the changes. You may notice steady improvements in mobility and function. Specific home exercises support your progress, and visit frequency may reduce as your body responds to treatment.
Phase 3: Maintaining Your Progress
Some patients choose to continue with periodic chiropractic check-ups and postural reviews. Ongoing strength and mobility work, combined with a healthy lifestyle, supports the progress made in earlier phases. This phase is optional and tailored to what you want from your care.
RANGE OF TECHNIQUES
A toolkit, not a single approach
Both Dr Paul and Dr James are trained in a broad range of chiropractic techniques — from firmer manual adjustments to very gentle, low-force options for those who prefer or need them. We adapt our approach to each patient's needs and level of comfort.
Diversified
A widely used manual adjusting technique using precise, controlled thrusts to specific joints in the spine and extremities.
Gonstead
A detailed system involving thorough analysis and specific adjustments, delivered while the patient is seated or side-lying.
Thompson Drop
Uses a specialised table with drop pieces that move slightly during the adjustment, allowing for a lower-force delivery.
SOT (Sacro-Occipital Technique)
A gentle method using wedge-shaped blocks under the pelvis to assist with alignment and movement of the spine and sacrum.
Activator
A small handheld instrument that delivers a precise, low-force impulse to specific joints. Often used as a low-force alternative to manual adjustments.
Arthrostim
A handheld instrument that delivers rapid, gentle impulses to specific areas of the spine or joints. Another low-force option for those who prefer instrument-based care.
Cranial and extremity adjusting
Adjustments applied to joints outside the spine — including the jaw, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and feet.
Soft tissue treatment
Hands-on work to release tight muscles and address the soft-tissue tension that often accompanies joint problems. May involve manual release, massage gun, and targeted stretching.
WHO WE TREAT
Care for All Ages and Abilities

Postural Care
Modern life — long hours at a desk, on phones, or behind the wheel — can lead to postural imbalances and ongoing tension. We assess how your posture and movement patterns may be contributing to your symptoms, and work with you on the underlying habits and lifestyle factors. We also see patients with scoliosis.

Chiropractic for Seniors
Care for older adults is adjusted to suit each patient's needs, with gentler, lower-force techniques used where appropriate. We take into account any age-related considerations such as joint stiffness, balance, or other health factors.

Pediatric Chiropractic
We provide chiropractic care for children — from newborns through to teenagers — for the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. The techniques used with children are very different to those used with adults: much gentler, lower-force, and adapted to the child's age, size, and comfort.

Sports Chiropractic
Care for athletes and active people, whether you train regularly or play socially. We work on the muscle and joint issues that come with sport — adapting treatment around your activity, training schedule, and recovery needs.

Pregnancy Chiropractic
Both Dr Paul and Dr James are trained in pre- and postnatal care. Chiropractic care during pregnancy may help with back and spinal pain, and other pregnancy-related musculoskeletal discomfort.

All Abilities
The clinic is welcoming to patients of all abilities, including those who use wheelchairs. Dr Paul and Dr James have experience providing care for patients with a range of physical needs and conditions, and adapt their approach to suit each individual.
CHANGES THAT LAST
Rehabilitation and Home Exercises
What happens between visits is just as important as the time spent in the clinic. We provide rehabilitation exercises designed to strengthen and stabilise the affected areas, improve mobility, and support your recovery. Think of these as your homework — small, regular efforts at home that help the changes made in the clinic last.
We also offer practical guidance on ergonomics — how you sit at your desk, set up your workstation, sleep, lift, and move through daily life. Small adjustments to these everyday habits can make a real difference over time.
The aim is simple: to keep you active and doing what you enjoy.
