Posture Correction
Forward head posture. Rounded shoulders. The hunched-over look from too many hours at a screen. Posture has a way of slowly drifting in the wrong direction — and once it does, it tends to bring pain, headaches and stiffness with it.
What is posture correction?
Posture is the position your body holds against gravity — sitting, standing, walking, sleeping. Modern life pushes most people toward a forward-head, rounded-shoulder posture from hours at desks and phones. Over time this loads the neck, upper back and shoulders in ways they're not designed for.
Common posture-related issues we see: neck and upper back pain, headaches, mid-back tightness, shoulder problems, lower back pain from anterior pelvic tilt, and the tightness across the chest and front of the neck that comes with rounded shoulders.
How chiropractic care can help
We assess your posture standing, sitting, and through movement. We look at where things are restricted, where muscles are overworking or underworking, and what postural patterns are loading you up. For ongoing concerns we may use postural X-rays to plan care more precisely.
Treatment combines chiropractic adjustments to free up restricted areas (especially the upper back and neck), soft tissue work to release the chronically tight muscles, postural rehabilitation exercises to strengthen the underused ones, and practical advice for your work and home setup. Posture takes time to shift — we work on it gradually.
