Shoulder Pain Treatment

★★★★★ 4.9 from 80 Google reviews

Shoulder pain has a way of finding you constantly — reaching for a coffee mug, putting on a shirt, sleeping on your side. The shoulder is one of the most mobile joints in the body, which means it has a lot of moving parts that can get strained, restricted or inflamed.

What is shoulder pain?

Common shoulder issues we see: rotator cuff strains and tendinopathy, restricted shoulder joints (often after a period of underuse), frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), shoulder impingement, AC joint sprains, and shoulder pain that's actually referred from the neck or upper back.

The shoulder doesn't work in isolation. The neck, upper back, shoulder blade and even the elbow all play a role in how the shoulder moves and feels. So shoulder pain often needs treatment that goes beyond just the shoulder itself.

How chiropractic care can help

We examine the shoulder thoroughly — range of motion, strength, special tests for the rotator cuff and other structures — but also the neck, upper back and shoulder blade. We work out where the restriction is, where the weakness is, and what's likely driving the pain.

Treatment combines shoulder and surrounding-joint adjustments, soft tissue work on the rotator cuff and surrounding muscles, dry needling where appropriate, and rehabilitation exercises to rebuild stability and movement. We tailor based on what we find and how you respond.

Why Palm Beach Chiropractic

Shoulder pain often improves with the right combination of joint work, soft tissue work and exercises. We see surfers, paddlers, gym-goers, desk workers and post-injury cases — and adapt the plan to what your shoulder needs.

Chiropractic care is generally well tolerated. As with any healthcare, adverse reactions are possible — your chiropractor will discuss this with you before treatment begins. Results vary between individuals.

Areas we service

We see locals from across the southern Gold Coast — including Palm Beach, Burleigh Heads, Elanora, Tugun, and Currumbin.
